The festival organising team is made up of three independent artists who have a focus on glass and our project manager, Malte Paschen. Louise Lang from Germany, Laura Sonne Lund from Denmark and Fiona Byrne from Ireland are three makers working through glass. The elemental nature of the Icelandic terrain had an undeniable allure and we found ourselves dreaming of blowing glass between glaciers, volcanoes and wild seas. This dreaming led to the idea of the festival and we began to plan seriously how to make our ideas real.
