In March 2025, a festival organising team came to Iceland to begin working with the municipality to plan the festival. During this time we travelled to Snæfellsbær, West Iceland to meet the local Cultural Development team, artists, curators and experience the raw Icelandic landscape. We are in discussion about locations for the festival’s events and creating a balance between international perspectives and Icelandic culture.
We are working with advisors in Iceland, Sigursteinn Sigurðsson (Cultural Development Advisor) and Helga Guðjónsdóttir (Business Development Advisor), from the Samtök Sveitarfélaga Á Vesturlandi.
